Effect of UV-irradiation on short-term proliferation of RPMI 8226 MM cell line. The RPMI 8226 MM cell line was irradiated using UV light (0, 20, 40, 60, 80, 100, 120, 140 or 160 mJ/cm2) and assessed for DNA synthesis using standard 3H-TdR (0.25 μCi/well) incorporation assays 3 hr after UV-irradiation. Three triplicate experiments were performed and data is shown as box plots. Statistical differences were determined using the Mann-Whitney test.
