In Vivo biophotonic imaging of mice vaccinated with non-invasive (N) or invasive (Inv) bioluminescent E. coli indicate similar trafficking from the intraperitoneal site of injection but prolonged
antigen expression of the recombinant invasive E. coli vaccine. Mice vaccinated i.p. were anesthetized and imaged at time points indicated. After
80 min, bioluminescent invasive E. coli were still detectable at the site of injection indicating live bacteria.
